In Cambodia today, many people are jailed simply for speaking out for democracy and freedom. While they are imprisoned, their families struggle to survive. And once they are free, the battle is far from over. Many former prisoners struggle to rehabilitate themselves and support their families while trying to continue their vital work. We ask you to donate to the Courage Fund to help provide these brave men and women with the support they so desperately need.

We founded the Courage Fund to help brave Cambodian dissidents who risk their lives for freedom and democracy. Facing great odds, these front line activists stand up for the common good, often with the knowledge that their actions would bring themselves and their families into terrible danger.

The victims of the cambodian regime

“Cambodia has jailed a Who’s Who of prominent critics of Hun Sen and his ruling party.”

— Brad Adam, Human Rights Watch Asia Director

In Detention

In hiding

“I and others decided to flee, even though it means that we lost our jobs and must be separated from our families.”

“If Cambodia’s courts were just, I wouldn’t have to flee.”

Families are torn apart. Children are left behind.
